MARS ENTERS PISCES:

MARS ENTERS PISCES:

On Wednesday May 13th at 12:17 A.M. EDT until June 27th at 9:45 P.M. EDT the god of war enters this mutable water sign. Mars doesn’t do that well when aspected to Pisces or its ruler, Neptune. Mars is all about energy, ego and the force of our being. It is what drives us and lends a hand in our ability to face confrontation and to defend our position. Neptune and Pisces don’t care about those issues. This sign is about the spirit and the ethereal side of life, where Mars is about the ego. Mars wants direct and honest answers, but Pisces tends to deceive and misdirect its answers based more on an unconscious motivation than on a clear and concise one. Don’t expect to have your usual forceful personality. Even those who are generally assertive will feel the tug of this transit and may be prone to see things as they wish they were and not as they really are. You may be apt to avoid conflicts and sidestep struggles, which is not a bad thing, as long as they are situations that don’t need an immediate resolution. This is a time to seek a peaceful solution to our battles, but not to pretend that everything is okay when it isn’t. It may not be possible to avoid all fights. In fact, throughout history most major sea battles have been fought while Mars was in transit to the three water signs, including Pisces. But especially in your personal life you would be wise to try and understand the other person’s point of view rather than relentlessly pushing your agenda.

In the collective this will be a time of serious and severe miscommunication and out and out lies. Over the next 6 weeks or so as this transit progresses we will find that we cannot rely on our usual strength to combat the falsehoods and misdirection that has become such a central part of our culture. We are entering a period of even more lying, deception and misdirection. Falsehoods, conspiracy theories and personality assassinations will be prominent. It’s very important that you don’t take everything you hear at face value. Examine the stories and do some research before you believe what you read on Facebook or in a biased publication.

If you use this well it can be a time of spiritual growth and enlightenment. You can put your ego in a quiet place and allow your soul a stronger voice and more control. But if you just walk with your eyes closed and only think about your own needs and desires you are more apt to be deceived and will regret some of the choices you make once this passes in June.

I agree that Mars in Pisces can be a time of spiritual growth and enlightenment, if we allow our souls to be enlarged. The great Indian saint, Anandamayi Ma, had Mars in Pisces natally.

This is a bit off topic. I enjoyed your ASP talk and the Pluto/2020 workshop talk.
When you said that Pluto rules oil, it reminded me of when quite a few years ago, the late Eleanor Bach said the same thing. I used to subscribe to her monthly newsletter. At that time most astrologers said that Neptune ruled oil, not sure why, but in her newsletter she explained why it was Pluto and used it in her prediction work. Of course in traditional astrology (which I practice, but I include also the outers since they are too important to ignore), Saturn would rule oil and I think I would still keep an eye on him when dealing with oil issues.
